The dependable table
A room can change a week simply by being open at the same time every evening. In this fictional story, neighbours turn an unused shopfront into a kitchen with space to eat, learn and ask for help without an appointment.
The people using the room also shape its rules. One night is for food preparation; another makes space for homework. The programme grows from conversations at the table rather than a plan delivered from elsewhere.
What remains
The most valuable outcome is not a single event but a place that people know will still be there next Tuesday. OPEN HAND is a portfolio concept; the people and outcomes in this story are imagined.
